Talk About Him - Everywhere & To Everyone

“Then He said to them, 'Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men'” Matthew 4:19 When Jesus called His disciples, He said they should follow Him and He will make them fishers of men. He is also calling you to be a fisher of men, to draw men into His kingdom – which is like the boat – and the gospel – which is like the net that draws men to it. It is our responsibility in obedience to God's word to witness and preach the gospel to people, as those in this world is perishing and on their way to Hell. There are billions of people on this earth and many are living without Jesus, and many have died either not knowing Him or rejecting Him. Can you remember how you became born again? Someone told you about Jesus and your need to be born again. Just imagine the direction your life would have taken if that person had not told you. That is why you must do the same: preach the word. You can never tell all that God wants to do with your life and how many people will come to know the Lord  by your witness. You may say you don't know what to say but you can start by sharing your testimony i.e. what your life was like before you met Jesus, how and when you met Jesus, and what your life is now. Do not be afraid of how you will say it – the Holy Spirit will fill you with boldness and will teach you what to say as you read your bible and share the word. Pray to God and He will help you. I would like to give you some scriptures and tips that will help you as you witness: 1. All have sinned: Let the person know we are all sinners and are all guilty before God (Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God”) 2. The Punishment for sin: For every offence there is a penalty – How great the penalty must be for offending God? (Romans 6:23 “...the wages of sin is death”) 3. The need for remedy: (Hebrews 9:22 “...Without the shedding of blood is no remission of sin.”) No one can pay for his or her own sins by what they do, only one person has died for all man's sins. 4. God's love through His perfect substitute: John 3:16 states “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life”. Another scripture is Isaiah 53:5-6. 5. Receiving the Saviour:  “If we confess our sins God is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1 v9). You can then say a prayer like this with them: Lord Jesus, I come to you today as a sinner. I repent of all my sins, I believe you are God and that you died for my sins and rose again to give me life. I invite you into my heart, to be my Lord and Saviour. I thank you for your blood that washes all my sins away, and I believe that you began this good work in me and will be faithful to complete it by your Holy Spirit that enables me. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. You can then read to them 2 Corinthians 5:17 (always go with a bible). I hope you put what you have learnt to practice. Act in faith and you will bear forth fruits, bringing others into the kingdom of God, remember God is with you.
