Stay Ready - He Is Coming Back

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout,with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord”. 1 Thessalonians 4:16 "Surely I am coming quickly." Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! Revelations 21:20 There is a word used to describe an event that will take place at a time that nobody knows, but it is certain that it will happen – the word is the Rapture. It is the time when believers will be taken away from this earth, they will be caught up in the clouds where they will be with Jesus, this is the blessed hope we have. Only those who are born again, who have been sanctified and have consecrated themselves to God will be part of the Rapture. The bible says that all those who have died in Christ will be caught up first, then we who are alive will be caught up after them. It is an event that will happen within twinkling of the eye, so fast and dramatic that it will set the world into confusion as millions of believers will disappear worldwide. This will set the stage for the antichrist to come in and deceive vulnerable people that have been left behind. He will reign in peace for 3.5 years, and deceive many to receive the mark of the beast, 666 without which they would not be able to buy or sell (Revelation 13:16-18). After this, there will be three and a half years of tribulation – referred to as The Great Tribulation. There will be persecution of those who accept Jesus during this period, and the Antichrist will declare himself to be God. At this time, God will rain down judgements and plagues upon inhabitants of the evil world. Finally, there will appear in the sky Jesus Christ with a heavenly army who will destroy the devil and all his works. You should be excited that one day you will be with Jesus for all eternity in heaven. You must watch how you live, so that whenever the rapture happens you will be caught up into the sky and not left behind. For many who claim to be believers but because of unconfessed and unrepented sins, will face the tribulations, where they may have to die for what they believe or receive the mark of the beast, 666. You must watch and pray, for the rapture happens when no one expects it, like a thief in the night, so be ready! There is a parable that speaks about 10 virgins (Matt 25:1-13); 5 were foolish but the other 5 were wise. They were all waiting for the appearing of the bridegroom, but the wise virgins kept their lamps burning and had enough oil to last them. However, the foolish virgins didn't and when they went to buy some more oil, the bridegroom came and they were left behind, and it was too late; the 5 wise virgins went with the bridegroom. The moral of the parable is that you must be where Christ says you should be and doing what He says you should be doing. Be prepared for the Rapture; do not be distracted by other things in life. You must fix your eyes on Jesus who is the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Now that you who know this wonderful truth you need to hold onto God and tell someone about it – your friends, your family and everyone else. There will be joy in heaven; Jesus has gone to prepare a place for us and that is where He will also be (John 14:3).
